Weddings

DSC_2886The members of this church are glad to offer its facilities for weddings.  If you are a part of another United Methodist worshiping congregation, we will be pleased to offer our sanctuary for the use by your minister.  If you are not a part of a United Methodist Church congregation, our pastor is willing to serve as your wedding officiant and to provide the needed wedding counseling prior to your official date.  In the United Methodist tradition, a wedding ceremony is seen as a sacred worship service and it is in this light that we serve our community and the larger community.  It is the desire of Polytechnic United Methodist Church (PUMC), its ministers, and its staff to make every wedding a memorable event, beautiful and meaningful, and to extend every possible courtesy to wedding parties.

You may choose to have your ceremony in our majestic Sanctuary, which seats up to 600 people.  Or you may prefer the more intimate setting of our beautiful Chapel, which seats up to 100.  We also have facilities for receptions in the Bragan Fellowship Hall, including a large kitchen and food prep area.

Weddings are not scheduled on Sundays nor on the date of any religious celebration.

Weddings during the seasons of Advent or Lent require special approval.  Dates will be reserved on our church calendar as available after the receipt of the completed and signed Wedding Agreement and the payment of deposit.  The couple must also schedule an appointment to confer with our Pastor PRIOR to any commitment of holding your service in our church.

The Wedding Policy and Guidelines can be reviewed here Wedding Policy.  You can also contact the church office for additional information.  817.534.0278

We’re looking to have our wedding Saturday May 24, 2014 in the early afternoon and are interested in your building of worship. We have about 200-250 people who will be attending the wedding.
